- M.E.N. readers have responded brilliantly to a Russian columnist who
described Manchester as full of ‘fat people’ and ‘homosexuals’. Alisa Titko, a writer for Moscow newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravd, said she
was left shocked by explicit scenes and debauchery in Manchester’s
Gay Village .
In
the column she also wrote ‘there are many fat people in Manchester’ and
said the city has gay-friendly attitudes Moscow should avoid. But M.E.N. readers have ridiculed the article, with many claiming they won't be inviting Titko to a party anytime soon.
