- The gay couple took their Longley neighbour Benedict King to the Anti-Discrimination Tribunal after he waged a tirade of homophobic abuse against them over the years. In May the tribunal ordered Mr King to pay $6000 to the couple for the vilification and discrimination he had meted out. This included verbally threatening and abusing Mr Punch and setting his dog on to the victims’ dog. He also drove his car towards Mr Punch while yelling “faggot’’.
