- More than half of managers think their own business has a positive outlook for the next year, compared to only a quarter who think they will be negatively affected in the next 12 months, according to the survey of over 1,000 UK managers by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Many economists prior to the referendum had been predicting an immediate and significant impact on the UK economy and consumer confidence should the country vote to leave the EU. But so far these predictions have not come to pass.
